About the Item
Cometabolism (Yafei Yang and Ning Zhang)'s new collection, Transmission, is now on view at the Era of Encore exhibition at the Times Art Museum jointly organized by the Beijing Dangdai Art Fair. Curated by Dong Bao, the artistic director of the Beijing Dangdai Art Fair, the exhibition focuses on the youngest artists under 35, featuring over 60 works by 32 artists. Among these, 26 are newly created pieces specifically for the exhibition, encompassing mediums such as painting, installation, and video.
ABOUT THE WORK:
The central air conditioning in the living space, the exhaust fans and cooling fans in the factory, these fans stir the air, making noise and noise, as if playing a wind instrument, also like a production message. The work combines disturbed air with the invention of wind instruments, attempting to indicate the commonality between the form of images and sound metaphors through wind blowing.
