About the Item
Gorgeous Italian Solid Walnut Center Table with two Drawers and a single table top. Renaissance in style, the table was made using a period plank by building or reconstructing the underlying T-shaped structure in the second half of the 1800s, solid walnut, cup-axe legs with shaped crossbeam, a carved spiral band and two drawers. The table is rectangular, is in good condition and extremely solid. The top is gorgeous, made from a single seamless piece that, considering its size, comes from a huge walnut tree; it is a single slice of the tree 82 cm wide. the plane divides from the structure to which it is interlockingly supported, is extremely heavy, about 50 kg.
The two drawers have two turned wooden knobs, one of which has a small lack, see photo detail,
Good overall condition, signs of wear consistent with use and age, top has old restorations, see photos.
Ideal for a dining room, this table has the optimum size for eight people or for a representative study as a desk or meeting table.
This solid walnut writing table features handcrafted details, such as elaborate carvings and fine finishes, reflecting the Renaissance Revival style. Walnut is a hard, durable wood, and over the centuries it acquires a patina that adds to the charm of this antique table from northern Italy.
The table is shipped from Italy; a Fine Arts license, essential for any antique object, is required for export. The application and issuance of this diesport license to the Ministry of Culture, takes 1-2 weeks to add to the shipping time.
