About the Item

Ugo La Pietra for Boffi, Original Protoype of "Ballerina" consolle in wood, part of the "A Plisse' " collection 1987 These objects were the starting point of a process, aiming to create a deeper relation between design and artistic craftsmanship. A process that Ugo La Pietra started in the early 1980s, developing it through dozens of exhibitions and theorising it with the direction of magazines such as Area, Abitare con Arte, Artigianato tra Arte e Design. This furniture collection can therefore be considered 'the manifesto' of that movement linked to neo-eclecticism that was defined, in the first conference held within the then nascent 'Abitare il Tempo' event in Verona, as 'Classic-Contemporary'. Prototype realized by Fratelli Boffi Numbered 1 of 9 and signed Ugo La Pietra on Metal Label. Original brass label Coded and archived by Ugo La Pietra Archives. Certificate of Authenticity available on purchase. Please note : the "free shipping option" and/or "subsidised shipping option" if stated in the shipping quotes option of this listing, is exclusively available for full list price orders only.
