20th Century George III Style Figured Mahogany Desk with Embossed Leather Top
About the Item
Early 20th century, nice quality, double pedestal writing desk, with gold embossed leather inset writing surface, all in one piece, on bracket feet, unmarked. The drawers have dovetail joints, figured mahogany fronts and classic brass Chippendale batwing bail pulls. The sides have inset bookmatched mahogany panels. Clean symmetrical lines show off the beauty of the wood. The chestnut brown leather top is in good vintage condition and the desk has acquired a nice patina over time.

Condition:
Good, minor nicks and scuffs particularly near base and on feet (possibly from some overly enthusiastic vacuuming). Shows well. Ready to place.
