About the Item
An excellent original antique Victorian leather top writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around 1860-1880.
It is of great quality and is a lovely size. The inset green leather top is beautifully hand coloured and gold tooled. The handles are beautifully turned, this sits on wonderful turned baluster legs with original brass casters. The back is also nicely finished and has two dummy drawers, so it looks identical from both sides.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is fantastic for its age. There is just some minor wear beneath the polish here and there. This has a gorgeous overall patina and colour tone.
