Carved Floral Back 18th Century Country French Carved Walnut Writing Desk

About the Item

This is a rare form of Country French desk. The desk features what appears to be oak and walnut construction and a parquet top with antique age cracks in the top. WE CAN REPAIR THIS but a purist will probably want this left alone so you must let use know. Ideally we would recommend NOT repairing it and using a desk pad. The hardware is some form of iron or metal. The desk has a gorgeous carved floral spray in the back and two dovetailed drawers that have been reiniforced and strenthened with nails and re-glued. Measures 73.5 wide x 31 deep x 30 tall. Dates to the 1780s era.
