About the Item

Chippendale style slant top desk in black lacquered wood. Red brilliant lacquered inferior part opening by three drawers with a crossbar. Flap uncovering six compartments and two horizontal drawers over one. It stands on four cabriole legs ending by claw. Gilt decor of Chinese style scenes and landscapes, highlighted with red, green and blue framed by gilt rectangular cartouches. Chiseled and gilt bronze handles in foliage scrolls shape. Work realized, circa 1900.
