An Ingenious 'Collapsible' Campaign Pedestal Desk Constructed from rosewood, each pedestal supported on tapering feet, one enclosing two drawers and the other a bank of three drawers, all lockable and with turned knobs, the angles finished as fluted pilasters and carved paterae; above, the writing surface composed of two hinged drop leaves which can be assembled and separated as needed. Circa 1820
