Extraordinary Swedish Hunting Table/Desk, dated 1873 This remarkable piece stands effortlessly on sturdy elk antlers, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. A true giant of a moose, it originates from northern Sweden and reflects the region’s rich hunting traditions. The black paint, though not original, was added long ago, enhancing its character. Crafted in pine wood, entirely with wooden pegs and antlers, it is a rare and striking piece. An inscription on the inside of the table reads: "Älgen skjuten i Wiksjö under september månad 1873 av jägaren P.O. Berglund" ("The moose was shot in Wiksjö in September 1873 by hunter P.O. Berglund.") With its bold contrasts and sculptural presence, it is a perfect addition for any Rick Owens collector or admirer of unique, statement furniture.
