French Bureau Plat 20th C. with Black Gilt Trim Writing Surface
About the Item
This exquisite desk is very well made with beech wood and oak with
Kingwood marquetry decorative motifs. Gilt bronze mounts decorate
The edge and gilt masks embellish each corner. The rectangular top
Is black with gilt embossed edge. It has three frieze drawers on one
Side and three faux drawers on the opposite side. The legs are gracefully
Curved and end in gilt bronze sabots. The bronze handles are original
And beautifully cast. The drawers slide easily and have dove tail construction.
