A spectacular and very high quality Italian mid 18th century Louis XV period Walnut, Rosewood, Charmwood and bone center table/desk circa 1740. This table from the Piedmont region is raised by elegant tapered legs with fine block feet and beautiful curved designs. The straight apron displays a single drawer showcasing the wonderful wood grain and is centered by a beautiful bronze keyhole escutcheon. The top displays a stunning and most decorative array of intricately inlaid scrolled foliate movements in lovely exotic woods with bone accents and tied with charming Charmwood designs set on the beautiful quarter veneered Rosewood background.
