Italian Mid-Century Mahogany Desk - Console - Table Iron Legs, Brass Caps 1960s

About the Item

Italian Mid-Century mahogany small desk - console or side table with iron legs, and brass caps 1960s The object is extremely light-footed and also a little excentric. The bentwood top of mahogany is beautifully grained and has a warm, homely wood tone. The edge is stained black. The surface is lacquered, but the pores are not closed - which emphasizes the character. The curved edge runs out to the side - slightly offset to the back - trapezoidal. The tabletop rests on a wooden base to which 4 iron frames are attached to the 3 leg combination is welded in each case. Elegantly pull the legs slightly outward down and then converge about 8cm from the floor to a bundle. The solid brass foot caps are 7cm high and lay with a triangular shape starting around the foot, then the foot cap runs out round. The sophistication of this table is in the details.
