About the Item
A massive and commanding desk in French style. Louis XV style heavy substantial bureau plat having a shaped top with black inset leather writing surface, with three functional drawers on one side and pseudo drawers on other side, with heavy brass trim and elaborately etched desk edge, ornate cast brass hardware, feet and female sculptural face mounts at the corners. The desk comes with a softly pebbled black tooled leather top. One working key.
Dimensions: 70 1/2" L, 38" D and 31 1/4" H
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age include sporadic losses to the veneer especially at the legs, light ring mark on leather, wear and light scratches along the surround bordering the leather mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is powerful.
