Magnificent Peter Protzman Zebra Wood Chrome Desk Mid Century Modern

About the Item

This iconic desk, designed by Peter Protzman for Herman Miller, was only manufactured for two years from 1970-1971. Making it a rare, limited production item. The smooth, curved edge of the exotic, African zebrawood surface is unlike any desk you will find today. This desk has been refinished and the top is near perfect! It seems to levitate between the two rounded chrome frames on either side. Two Lucite lined drawers on either side of the center pencil drawer. Peter Protzman was an American designer known for his innovative designs, often incorporating unusual materials and finishes, such as zebrawood. His work is highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts alike.
