Rare and Unusual Regency Period Metamorphic Leather Top Architects Desk and Games Table made of Rosewood. The top lifts to display plans or folios with a removable clip. The top also slides forward to reveal a removable checkerboard over a backgammon table in the well. A remarkable example of English craftsmanship.

Line inlaid, cross banded and with exquisite marquetry detail, depicting scrolling foliate and flowerhead motif detail throughout. The moulded upper section surmounted with curved 3/4 gallery rail with turned finial detail and centred sloping drawer with decorative pierced brass grille detail, opening to reveal a fitted interior.
