Sheraton Revival marquetry inlaid cylinder bureau

About the Item

A substantial Sheraton Revival flame mahogany and satinwood crossbanded cylinder bureau, the ornate raised gallery over three cushion frieze drawers with brass tooled handles, above a profusely inlaid cylinder front. The decorative subject matter includes floral baskets and swags with central musical motif, all carried out to the highest of standards. The cylinder opening to reveal satinwood fitted interior, with slide-out inset green leather writing surface. Over a central large drawer flanked by short drawers to each side, raised on slender square tapering legs terminating in foliated sabot feet.
