About the Item

Oversize extendable desks, known as the Burdick Group System table, designed by Bruce Burdick for ICF in the 1980s. These elegant tables feature a structure made of steel and aluminum, paired with a 15 mm thick glass top. Their functional and contemporary design makes them ideal for modern workspaces, providing ample space for meetings and conferences. The versatility and quality of the materials make them timeless design pieces. In 1980, Burdick Group received the award for best design from the Institute of Business Designers and the Industrial Designers Society of America. The following year, Time magazine named the Burdick Group system one of the best designs of 1981 in the industrial design sector. The magazine described it as one of the first flexible furniture systems capable of seamlessly integrating with computer terminals and other office electronic devices.
