This is an elegant dining set comprising an antique George III Regency Period dining table, Circa 1820 in date, with a fabulous set of eten Swagback dining chairs.
The table has two additional leaves and is raised on twin "gun barrel" turned columns on quadruple reeded swept leg bases which are fitted with brass claw feet and castors.
The table top is of beautiful flame mahogany and there is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining table which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times.
The delightful set of ten superb swag back dining chairs, date from the second half of the 20th Century.
Masterfully crafted in beautiful solid mahogany throughout, the finish and attention to detail on display are truly breathtaking.
Comprising eight side chairs and two armchairs, all featuring an attractive swag back design with 'drop in' seats that have been reupholstered in the finest claret damask

In excellent condition the table having been beautifully cleaned and waxed and the chairs upholstered and polished in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.

Flame Mahogany
Thomas Sheraton - 18th century furniture designer, once characterized mahogany as "best suited to furniture where strength is demanded as well as a wood that works up easily, has a beautiful figure and polishes so well that it is an ornament to any room in which it may be placed." Matching his words to his work, Sheraton designed much mahogany furniture. The qualities that impressed Sheraton are particularly evident in a distinctive pattern of wood called "flame mahogany."
The flame figure in the wood is revealed by slicing through the face of the branch at the point where it joins another element of the tree.
