About the Item

A rare 'Brugiana' dining table designed by Italian architects Egidio Di Rosa and Pier Alessandro Giusti for Up&Up in the 1980s. This handmade piece was named after Monte Brugiana, a mountain in the Apuan Alps Regional Natural Park in Tuscany, Italy. The stunning Memphis style base is composed of solid white Arabescato marble and features geometric elements in Green Alpi, Serene Stone, and Red Levanto marble. A thick, square glass top with an Arabescato marble frame delicately rests upon the base. Italy, 1980s. Condition: Great overall vintage condition. Light staining along the edges of the glass top’s marble frame and one corner is slightly chipped as shown in photos. The glass itself has one minor surface mark.
