From our Old Plank Collection; French inspired trestle dining table, large enough to easily serve a party of (12) people, in supreme comfort. The center section of the top, was made from walnut and measures a full 2.5” thick. Our Old Plank craftsmen did an old school moderate distressing, before handing the dining table over to the finishing department. Here, the French inspired trestle dining table, received an English polish, which is basically, layers, upon layers of hand-padded clear lacquer. No spraying was involved and is similar to a French polish, but one uses lacquer in lieu of shellac. This makes for a harder and more durable base, but requires substantially more labor. The results speak for themselves and the French inspired trestle dining table, genuinely looks like something crafted from the 1800’s.
