About the Item

An exceptional antique Victorian or Renaissance Revival pedestal extension dining table By George C. Flint Co. USA, Circa 1890s Gorgeous quarter sawn oak, with carved split pedestal with ornate paw feet on casters. Measures: 53.25"W x 53.75"D x 30.25"H. Extends up to 101.25"W with four 12" leaves. Professionally refinished. Excellent condition. George C. Flint Co. was one of the best-known high end furniture makers in New York during the 19th Century. Their strongest competitor was R. J. Horner, with whom Flint ultimately joined forces in 1914 to form Flint & Horner. Flint was known for manufacturing furniture of the highest quality, of which this table is no exception. Truly an outstanding piece of American history.
