About the Item
This coffee table was made at the end of the 20th century, around 1970. The table features a unique construction, allowing it to be completely disassembled without tools. The tabletop consists of six glued planks, each 1.38 inches thick. The oak wood used is A-grade European summer oak and shows a fantastic grain pattern. Underneath the tabletop, two sculpted stretchers connect the legs to the top using wooden pegs. The legs are carved trestle legs, joined by a stretcher in the middle. This stretcher is attached to the legs using a mortise and tenon joint secured with wedges.
The table was gently cleaned in our workshop. It was gently sanded with brushes to achieve a smooth and soft finish. A thin coat of wax was applied to achieve a warm natural honey color with soft sheen. The table is solid, clean and ready for use.
