An Original 1930's Robert Thompson, the 'Mouseman' Dining Table
About the Item
Robert Thompson ran his workshops from Kilburn, Lancashire, England, from around 1919. He initially made church furniture, but then went on to make all types of furniture for large homes.
Traditionally made with the trademark adzed oak top and long tailed carved mouse signature to the leg. This table has its original patination and is truly a wonderful colour and example of old Mouseman furniture-not to be confused with later 1960's/1970's pieces.
These early pieces are now highly collectable and sought after.
