Vintage French Louis XVI Ebonized Mahogany Dining Table with 2-Leaves.
We originally purchased this Louis XVI Ebonized Mahogany Dining Room Table around 25 years ago near Paris, France. Recently there was a local sale for a couple downsizing and admittedly we did not recognize the Louis XVI Table until we looked underneath and saw our original shipping label with Old Plank’s name on it. Since we have been importing from Europe for almost 35-years this is becoming more and more common. Although our Vintage French Ebonized Mahogany Dining Table is in very nice condition, the table is not without some minor cosmetic flaws. Structurally and functionally the table is very sound. The most unusual thing about our Ebonized Louis XVI Table are the matching leaves, for as a general rule the French did not have aprons on the leaves, nor the brass trim and mostly were made out of beech left unfinished.
**Width provided includes both leaves. With one leaf, the table 79.5" wide. Without leaves, the table is 63" wide.
