About the Item

A very well made Pembroke with a highly decorative and colorful mix of woods. With a cross banded top and leaves in a stained pattern, and a fine inlaid fan in the center. A drawer on each end (lacking a key). Finely cast brass pulls. L. 29", Depth 17 1/4", each leaf 8 1/2", H. 28" Condition: There are some stable age cracks to the banding, stable crack to one leg corner molding at the top. Presents well. Please see photos for condition details.

A very fine and complex well-crafted drop leaf table with rectangular top inlaid overall in fine scrolled marquetry details. The top panel with scrolling vines emanating from two vessels, framed by a scrolling vine wide band. Each rounded leaf with coordinating center panels and bands. The two frieze drawers with foliate scrolls framing the brass key holes (one lock is missing). Raised on a octagonal faceted baluster support ending in eight square scrolled legs with flat feet, all with coordinating foliate scrolled decoration.
