About the Item
This elegant guéridon table was crafted in France in the early 20th century and reflects the refined neoclassical sensibilities of the Charles X period. The round top, veneered in richly figured burlwood, features intricate scrolling foliate marquetry arranged in concentric patterns with a central medallion motif, creating a harmonious and symmetrical design.
The pedestal base flares gracefully into a tripartite plinth, each foot terminating in ebonized cup feet. Stylized botanical inlays continue along the base and apron, showcasing careful craftsmanship and decorative balance.
Measuring 40.75 inches in diameter and 30 inches high, this decorative table is ideal for use as a center table, entry table, or side table. Excellent condition with light wear, commensurate with age and use. A handsome and versatile piece that merges classical inspiration with early 20th-century French artistry.
