About the Item

Large & impressive! This 19th century Renaissance antique Pedestal / Column from France Highly decorative and of impressive size this pedestal is hand carved from 1 piece of solid European oak. Spirally carved by a master carver & is richly decorated with vines, grapes, leaves, birds & cherubs. For example one cherub is being pulled up on the growing vines & 1 cherub is using the vines as a swing. It could also be linked to the hunting/ Black Forest style because of the grapes leaves & birds. The base is carried by 4 beasts & the top decorated in Corinthian style. Amazing rare antique piece, very heavy & with the perfect antique feeling to it Comes with free shipping safely packed in a custom made shipping crate from Amsterdam to you in 7 days.
