18th Century Italian Wanut Side Table
About the Item
Side table hand-made in Italy in the early 1700s using walnut. The table is very sturdy built and just gorgeous. The proportions, the patina, the color and the hand-carvings all work together to make this a one of a kind piece. This table is not just a side table, it is a statement piece that will draw the attention of everyone entering a room, as well as add warmth to any space. The drawers both show large and primitive dovetail joints, and the top is made of a beautiful single board of walnut more than 1 inch thick. The legs are hand turned and sit on square feet connected by a box stretcher. Despite its relatively small size this is a very heavy side table that can easily survive the exuberance of your next Labrador puppy.
