About the Item

19th century tortoise bamboo side table from France. The top has bamboo banding around the edge of the rush covered top. The table is supported on splayed bamboo legs, joined by bamboo cross stretchers with a lower shelf sitting atop the stretchers. The lower shelf is also covered with rush and has bamboo banding around the edges. The design of this table is lovely and has a bit more design interest with the external brackets supporting the top and the shaped feet.
