Chinese Vintage Oxblood Lacquer Side Table with Two Drawers and Fretwork Shelf
About the Item
A vintage Chinese oxblood color side table from the mid 20th century with fretwork shelf, two drawers and shaped pulls. Created in China during the Midcentury period, this vintage lacquered side table features a rectangular top with central board and rounded corners, sitting above two simple drawers fitted with shaped pulls on rosette-inspired backplates. Accented with a simply carved apron echoed on the skirt at the bottom, the table is raised on four straight, slightly splaying legs securing a low shelf adorned with elegant fretwork motifs. The sides present recessed panels and stretchers similar to the front, while the back is uncarved. The table will therefore be best placed against a wall. With its clean lines, dark oxblood color and fretwork accentuation, this vintage Chinese two-drawer side table from the mid 20th century will make for a great addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, bedroom or hallway.
