About the Item

A charming French bistro table dating to circa 1900, the cast iron base features foliate motifs and a well-oxidized patina over the original black finish. The two scrolled legs are connected by a cylindrical rod with leaf cups and a square center element. Each side of the base is adorned with a scalloped leaf, rosettes, and a leaf cup, forming a lovely pierced and scrolled rinceau. The hearty base supports a 1 ½ inch thick beige marble top with red and grey veining that was added more recently. Our turn of the century cast iron bistro table can be used in just about area of the house, from a veranda or patio to an entry hall or living room.
