This table's amorphous, cast bronze top seems to be separating into three pieces as the earth upon a fault. It rests atop two rectangular, blackened steel legs, one wider than the other, which serve to support the piece with the stability of three.
Drawing from his knowledge of art and design (in addition to his architectural expertise), Douglas Fanning continually pushes the boundaries between form and physics to create clean, fluid, yet uncompromisingly daring pieces.
