About the Item
This original sculptural, solid wood round top EGG side table is a refined example of artisanal 21st century organic design. Its minimal shape, reminiscent of Brancusi and Arp sculptures, works equally well in contemporary or updated period spaces. EGG Side Table is truly artisanal, hand-built and hand-finished one piece at a time in Australia on a single lathe by a master craftsman. We make our individual, artisanal pieces of sustainable, selected hardwoods, available in 3 standard finishes including: Scandinavian natural (shown) on sustainable rock maple a sheer matte finish on rock maple which shows the artful construction of our EGG.
EGG Noir is hand ebonized at various custom gloss levels, or our newest sustainable hard wood, native rosewood which can also be displayed in its natural glory with a hand-oiled finish.
We welcome inquiries for custom variations. Our EGG can be made all the way up to dining height, with round, oval or irregular tops. EGG 20 size also works as a small coffee table in multiples in front of long sofas and banquettes and always next to arm chairs.

This modern, artisanal customizable collection, made of sustainable timbers, solid fine metals and hand-stitched linen, pays homage to nature, organic design, and the great artists, architects and designers Jean Arp, Brancusi, Gio Ponti, Paul Mc Cobb, Edward Wormley and others. This custom size can be made of rock maple, finished with a Scandinavian finish as shown, ebonized or hand-oiled made of sustainable native rosewood, or with custom custom finishes and other hardwoods.
