About the Item
English Oak side table constructed of the highest qualityquarter sawn timber in England with hand carved and shaped corners.
Inspired by the makers love of architecture, this high quality and unique side table is destined to be a future classic.
The rounded corners of the table are all hand shaped using traditional tools, and allow the side table to be moved from room to room with ease.
It's sturdy construction using time served joinery techniques allow it to be used as both a side table and for seating when those surprise guests make an entrance.
The way the wood is cut is called quarter sawn, which provided us with the best quality timber. you can buy. Not only is it very stable and flat, but the figuring of the wood is often fantastic and unique. This English Oak is much lighter and stronger than it's American cousin and is prized around the world.
All pieces are designed and made to order by the award winning Gareth 'Goldfinch' Brookes in his Manchester studio.

This wonderfully unique mid century style side table is made of quarter sawn English Oak and will work well in the bedrooms, living rooms and elsewhere.
It's unique design is inspired by the artist Hundertwasser, who believed everybody deserved to be surrounded by beautiful things.
With the hole cut out at the back, these pieces are often used as bedside tables, with electricals being easily stored and charged in the drawer whilst avoiding distractions in the night. The choice of the patterns on either side or both sides makes this piece sutiable for multiple locations.
Made from the highest quality quarter sawn English Oak this piece is solidly built, and will last many generations. The drawer is made from a combination of English Oak and high grade ply, with a drawer height of 9cm.
It is finished in a hard wax oil that makes the piece easy to care for.
As with all my pieces, everything is made by Gareth 'Goldfinch...
