Exceptionnelle table chiffonnière d'époque Louis XVI
About the Item
En bois de placage toutes faces à marqueterie de cubes sans fond en amarante, bois de
rose et sycomore. Elle ouvre en façade par trois tiroirs sans traverse. Le premier formant un écritoire avec son couvercle monté à charnière garni d'un maroquin rouge et d'un nécessaire à écrire en métal argenté comprenant un encrier, un poudrier et une boîte à éponge.
Elle repose sur quatre pieds fuselés de section carrée à décor de compartiments de bois de rose en partie centrale, et ornés en partie supérieure d'une guirlande de laurier en bronze ciselé et doré. Les pieds se terminent par un sabot uni posé sur une boule aplatie, le tout en bronze doré. Les pieds sont réunis par une tablette d'entrejambes à décor de mosaïque de cubes délimités par un bandeau d'amarante et un filet de buis.
