French Late 19th Century Transitional Style Side Table

About the Item

An exquisite French late 19th Century Transitional st. tulipwood, kingwood, ormolu and Vert Campan marble side table. The table is raised by elegant slender lightly curved legs with fine foliate ormolu sabots. Above the scalloped shaped frieze are two drawers each decorated with beautiful parquetry designs framed within lovely wood borders and centered by foliate ormolu keyhole escutcheons. To each side are richly chased ormolu foliate mounts which are repeated on the back. Above is the original Vert Campan marble top fitted within a fine pierced wrap around ormolu gallery. All original gilt throughout.
