The 'Horizon' series by Rahee Yoon is a collection of architectural furniture that evolves from her earlier Block series, transitioning from sculptural objects into functional furniture. This series features a horizontal line at the blurred boundary of colors, creating a balance of dynamism and stillness through the play of light. Rahee Yoon is a designer and artist based in Seoul. With a background in diverse crafts including metalwork, textiles, ceramics, and woodworking, she opened her own studio in 2017. For over eight years, she has focused on acrylic as her primary medium, exploring the interplay of contrasts, such as 'blurred yet distinct', 'transparent yet deep', or 'incidental yet inevitable'. Each piece is handcrafted and refined through close collaborations with special engineers in Seoul and small workshops across Korea. This piece is exclusively made-to-order and may require up to 6 months for production, excluding shipping time.
