Italian 19th Century Napoleon III Period Ormolu and Onyx Side Table

About the Item

A beautiful Italian 19th century Napoleon III Period ormolu and onyx side table. The table is raised by most unique and extremely decorative foliate feet with beautiful movements and finely chased details. The elegantly curved three central supports are accented with richly detailed lion head ormolu mounts amidst large acanthus leaves. The striking original onyx top is framed within a superb and wonderfully executed pierced foliate border.
