Pair of black lacquered decorative columns - France, 20th Century
About the Item
A pair of unusual lacquered columns with a geometric character. Each octagonal column sits on a circular base, and is crowned with a weighty lipped marble top with chamfered detail.
The columns have been recently restored, with the wood refinished in the original gloss black. There is some wear to the marble surfaces, but no obvious chips of fissures.
