About the Item
This pair of exquisite Topino style transitional night stands or side stables is a magnificent example of fine marquetry work. As is typical of the style, this pair features straight lines and geometric shapes. Marquetry featuring Greek or Roman architectural elements is featured on the top and lower shelf, and urns are featured at the sides. Geometric patterns and a central medallion featuring a classical scene are featured on the door to the storage compartment. Brass galleries are mounted around the edges of the top and lower shelf.
