Small Walnut Slab Mid-Century Italian Side Table
About the Item
This charming, small slab table with its radical edge, spherical feet and bent steel painted frame is as great looking as it is practical. While sturdy, it is also lightweight and can be easily moved to accommodate extemporaneous needs, such as for a drinks table.
The slab has an appealing irregular shape and is about 1.5" thick. The surface retains the chatter of the saw marks adding to its character and revealing the history of how it was made. The wood finish is beautiful with rich burl figuring. The hollow knot is about 2" x 3/4" on its surface. Scattered checking on the surface adds to the depth of color and richness of the piece.
