About the Item

Very unusual primitive folk art table with the authentic patina after over 3 centuries of use. The table is an early example of the so called Hedna Table which is among the first detached tables in the Swedish culture. The table has never been painted and the top is marked with carved initials. The table is made completely by hand with rudimentary tools in birch and pine during the early 1700s or possibly during the late 1600s.
