Japanese antique large wooden low table/1868-1920/long table/Mingei
About the Item
A large low table made in Japan from the Meiji to the early Taisho period (1868-1920).
Originally, it seems that it was a work table for sitting and doing some work.
There are countless small scratches on the surface of the top plate, which I think is the proof.
Japanese farmers had many tools of this kind.
However, most of them are made of boards, and there are no table-shaped ones.
I think that the wood of the top plate is probably cedar wood.
The meaning of heaven is blackish brown.
It is a very cool low table.
There is one place where the crack was glued to the tip of the foot.

In addition, the top board is hardly warped, and it can be said that the condition is very good.
Can be used as a sofa table or center table. .
