Japanese Antique Long Low Table 1900s-1940s / Sofa Table Wabisabi

About the Item

This is a long low table made in Japan. Made in the Showa period (1900s-1940s), this furniture has a massive and powerful presence. The top surface is lavishly made of beautifully grained Japanese horse chestnut, and the legs are made of rustic Japanese cedar. The thickness and texture of this single piece of wood, measuring 1820 mm in length and 420 mm in depth, is extremely rare today, and its timeless appeal is evident in its thickness and texture. Scratches and stains from years of use also accentuate the table's depth of flavor, making it a gem that embodies the traditional Japanese beauty of "wabi-sabi. It fits well in both Japanese and Western-style rooms, and is versatile as a low table, bench, or decorative stand. Along with its quiet presence, this piece adds depth to your space. Weight: 25 kg ________________________________________ Our Philosophy Objects always tell the truth. All I can do is just to face with them sincerely and give them deep affection as much as I can. There is no boundary of nationalities and of eras in beauty. But I think now is the time we choose 'Japanese style' and it will be the best way to remind us of what we are losing today and to question us about an essence of beauty again. I hope that you can touch the memories which the objects here have, feel and think of something invisible but exists undoubtedly.
