About the Item
Signed and numbered abstract of child and woman in great condition by Keith Bruce Finch. He was born in Holyoke, Colorado on October 9, 1919. Finch was most active in Los Angeles in the 1950s and 1960s. His abstract watercolors were widely exhibited during this period. Finch taught at Otis Art Institute for many years. He died in Los Angeles on March 19, 1993.
His paintings were included in the exhibition ‘American Paintings 1945-57’ at the Minneapolis Institute. His works are in many important public and private collections in Southern California and elsewhere. For the past ten years Keith Finch has exhibited at the Landau Gallery, Los Angeles, holding one-man shows in 1950, 1952, 1953, 1955, 1957, and 1963. The most recent of his numerous awards was his prize at Barnsdall All City Show, 1964.
