Delft Porceleyne Fles small wall plates, The Hague and Delft, 1894 and 1912 3 Dutch Delft Porceleyne Fles rectangular small wall plates with floral borders Plate 1 is 's-Gravenhage (The Hague) The Maurits or Grenadiers gate was completed in 1634 to improve access to the Square of the Binnenhof. The new gate was later given the name Mauritspoort because of its location next to the Mauritshuis. A striking feature of the current appearance of the gate is the coat of arms of Holland, which is visible on both sides above the passage. Marked on reverse with the mark of the Dutch delft Porceleyne Fles Dated with P = 1894 and painter initials of P.C.M. Fouw (1883-1931) Impressed mark of Joost Thooft & La Bouchere The measurements are 16 cm high, 12.3 cm wide and the depth is 1.5 cm The weight is 319 gram Plate 2 is 's-Gravenhage (The Hague) The Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights) is the main building of the 13th-century inner square of the former castle of the counts of Holland called BinnenhofIt is used for the state opening of Parliament on Prinsjesdag, when the Dutch monarch drives to Parliament in the Golden Coach and delivers the speech from the throne. NINE antique Delft Wall Tiles Blue & White scenes, Netherlands mainly 18th C

These are NINE Delft ceramic wall tiles, all with different blue and white hand painted patterns, made in the Netherlands, from the 19th Century to the 17th Century, but mainly 18th Century. Each tile is nominally slightly over 5 inches square.. All nine tiles are unique, being individually hand painted with different scenes and patterns featuring various scenes with buildings, trees, watersides, boats and one floral, with most having spider motif corners. They are all enamelled in cobalt blue, using different shades of blue, which varies slightly from tile to tile as expected:- please see the images. Two of the tiles have scenes within double blue circles.
