About the Item

This is an exceptional original drawing by world famous Camillo Procaccini (born in the Renaissance era in 1561 in Parma and died in Milan in 1629, Italy ). On the back side of the same drawing there is another unfinished drawing of Jesus’ torso. Procaccini is a world known Renaissance painter and artist at its time of 16th and 17th century. His drawings and paintings can be viewed in several world renowned museums through out the world and his frescoes one can find in cathedrals like Milan ( the organ shutters) , Bologna, Piacenza (frescoes of the nave and the apse) and more . The drawing has been painted with charcoal on paper, both sided and is an unknown and world class drawing with the imagine of Jesus Christ and his torso on the back. Procaccini is considered to be in the same level as all other great artists at its time. The drawing has been mounted in the 18th century gold gilded frame and with special UV protection glass to protect its paper. It can be opened up at the back easily in order to view the toros of Jesus or to flip it over time to change the drawings. The size of the drawing without the frame is: Hight 29 cm and Width 24 cm. It has been very well preserved over the last 500 years.
