A somber rendering of a young girl with a page boy haircut wearing a red dress seated in a high back chair. Her arms are raised above her head. Oil paint on board. Entitled "Seated" on the backing paper. Circa 1950. A wonderfully layered and complex paint surface that gives the work a subdued energy. Good overall condition with minor cosmetic blemishes and wear due to age. Minor surface scratches. Wear to the frame. There is no visible signature.
