82.5"H Expressionist Painting with "Foot" by Texas Artist Ron Moody

About the Item

Ronald D. "Ron" Moody studied under noted artist, Roger Winter at Southern Methodist University (SMU), receiving his BFA in 1973. Two years later, he received his MA from the University of Iowa, and a year later, his MFA. He returned to Texas and created colorful, bold, Postmodern Expressionist work through the 1980s. He is a collected, "listed" artist, and we have included several publications from private collections where his work has been published. We are in awe at the scale, composition and color theory exploration in Mr. Moody's work. We have included an AI-generated suggestion of the scale of this piece in a furnished space. It has been shown in all four orientations as it can be displayed at buyer's discretion. This piece is one of six extra large, late 1970s paintings that CONTEXTvintage has available by Mr. Moody. We will be listing them all on 1stDibs. If more than one is desired, please message us for favorable combined pricing. (Edit 12/23/2024 - only five are now available) This extra large, Monumental, original oil on canvas is being offered stretched (stretching completed 10/15/2024) and shipped at our expense, without charge to the buyer.
