About the Item
Suffused with both sensuality and alienation, this large oil painting depicts a couple in the bedroom, the female figure poised with a head of cabbage and a doll, and her lover -- evidently a male, again nude -- turned away. Full of rich reddish browns accented with grey blues, with a hint of golden yellow emitting from a lamp, this painting is moody and mysterious. Dated 1981, the painting is signed.
